Product Manager
Applied on Feb 12. The whole thing took 6 weeks and had 4 rounds of interviews. The team (Janna, Jon, Billie, Travis, and Viraj) was pretty professional, but in the end, they rejected me saying I didn't have enough "technical depth" in some key areas of the job. It's a bummer to go through over a month of interviews and then find out at the very end that my background isn't what they needed for a main requirement. I feel like they could have figured this out during the first recruiter chat or the initial hiring manager interview. My advice to others is to really nail down the specific technical "must-haves" early on so you don't waste a ton of time.
- For accounts receivable, what's the most important process or feature to automate or build, and what's your reasoning?
Senior HR Business Partner
The interview process started with a phone screen and then moved on to interviews with the hiring manager, the team, a panel, and finally the c-suite. The initial screen went well, but the hiring manager interview was unstructured, with mainly vague questions about my experience. I think vague questions make people ramble because they aren't specific or ask for a particular answer. Asking an HR person how they deal with a difficult leader can have many answers depending on the situation, history, and the person involved. I'd suggest using more specific behavioral questions in the future. After all that, I got ghosted.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult leader.
- What are your biggest weaknesses or reasons why you might not be a good fit for this role?
Renewal Specialist
The interview process was great and moved crazy fast (4 interviews in like 2 weeks). I had a fantastic recruiter. I went through the initial screening, then had an interview with the hiring manager, an interview with customer success manager, an interview with an HR person, and another (final) meeting with the recruiter. Questions were not “hard” or technical really.. they more-so really tried to get to know you and speak casually. Asked questions about my previous work history and how it applied to the role I applied to. Overall, great interview process, just wish it was less rounds (maybe 3 instead of 4). All of the above were done via Zoom meetings with camera on. Everyone was so friendly and transparent when I asked questions and it made me want to join the company even more. Recruiter also looked out for me with my salary request, which is rare and appreciated!
- Tell me about your motivation for applying to this position and our company.
Senior Director of Talent Acquisition
A recruiter reached out and scheduled time with me, and I had a brief 30-minute conversation. Unfortunately, the recruiter seemed distracted and the questions were a bit unclear. I was told I’d have the opportunity to speak with the hiring manager, but after sending two follow-up emails expressing my continued interest, I instead received an automated rejection email. Overall, it was a disappointing candidate experience.
- Describe your leadership style.
