First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zocdoc.
Sales Associate
The recruiter was inexperienced and unprofessional. One of the interviewers lacked questions of any depth, was condescending and focused on the wrong things. It definitely was not a good reflection of the brand.
- Can you provide examples of actions you took to meet KPIs?
- Describe a time you didn't reach a goal and how you handled it.
- What aspects do you think you could have improved upon?
Sales Operations Associate
I applied online, and then had a quick HR phone interview where they went through my resume. After that, I spoke with the Head of People for a brief call to confirm the next steps. They invited me to come in and meet the team. The coordinator got in touch to schedule the interviews, and I was given a date and time but didn't know who I'd meet. When I arrived, they seemed unprepared. I was put in a room and wasn't told who I'd be meeting. It seemed like the interviewers had just received my resume and had no idea about the position. The coordinator would send someone in, then change their mind about who I should meet. I waited quite a bit and then had two short interviews with different people, with long waits in between. The interviewers were very fast-paced. Six days later, I got an automated email saying I wasn't selected and they couldn't provide feedback due to the high volume of candidates.
- Given we're expanding operations to new cities, how would you evaluate the potential of each city?
Sales Associate
Applied online, then got a recruiter call a couple days later with super basic questions, mostly just screening. The next day, had a phone interview with more basic questions about my sales background and goals. After that, I went to the company's HQ in SoHo for an in-person interview in a casual setting (no need for suits). Two managers there went over the sales process and what they expected for the role. About a week later, I had a final phone interview with a GE manager who covered the same details. The very next day, I got a job offer, but turned it down because of another opportunity. The whole thing took about 2 weeks.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you faced at a previous job and how you overcame it.
