Quality Assurance Engineer
It was a 30-minute interview that focused on my resume and some testing concepts. First, I was asked to introduce myself and go over my resume. Then, there were questions about software fundamentals. The interviewer was pretty chill and nice.
- Could you please introduce yourself and walk me through your resume?
- Can you tell me about software fundamentals?
- What is the difference between SDLC and STLC?
QA Engineer
They ask questions very fastly and don't value if we give correct answers and act like ignore it and if we don't know the answer then they take act like paying more attention towards it.

Quality Assurance Engineer II
Round 01 - HR Screening: The HR asked basic questions about my skills, experience, current CTC, and expectations. At that time, I had 6 LPA CTC with around 2.6 years of experience as a QAE 1 at a product-based company, my second job. I stated my expectation as 10 LPA, but she mentioned it was over their budget and since they were offering QAE-1, I expressed interest in the QAE-2 position due to my experience. She suggested that if my interview feedback was strong, they might consider me for QAE-2, with a maximum offer of 9 LPA. Given I'm from a tier-3 city, it was a remote role, and I was tired of my current company's QA Lead's toxic micromanagement, I decided to proceed. Round 02 - Online Test: The HR sent a test link to be completed within 24 hours, featuring easy to medium questions on testing analysis, aptitude, and basic SQL queries. I submitted the test within the deadline. Round 03 - Technical Round 01: After passing the test, the first technical round was with two senior QAs. It was a good, competitive interview; the interviewers were positive and supportive, making me eager to potentially work with them. The interview went well, and I felt confident about a callback, which I received. Round 04 - Technical Round 02: This round was with the QA Manager, who was also a supportive interviewer, similar to the senior QAs. The interview also went well. I was asked similar questions to the first TR, including test types, puzzles, testing scenarios, and asked to write test cases. Round 05 - Technical Round 03: I was unsure about the number of rounds, but the HR confirmed this would be the final technical round before a culture fit round with the Director. This last technical round was with the Senior QA Manager and focused on designing testing plans and strategies, a brainstorming session I enjoyed. The HR contacted me a day or two later to schedule the final round. Final Round 06 - Culture Fit: The final culture fit round was with the Director and was entirely non-technical. The Director inquired about my hobbies, educational, and family backgrounds. It felt more like a casual discussion than an interview, and I enjoyed it. I was sure I'd get an offer after reaching this stage. The HR contacted me about a week later with an offer. However, I didn't accept as I had another offer. Overall, the experience was positive. The only downside was the number of rounds seemed excessive for the offered compensation and position, but otherwise, it was fine.
- Could you tell me about your skills and experience?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Can you tell me about your current compensation?
