Customer Success Manager
It was a pretty standard interview process, starting with a recruiter call and then moving on to a hiring manager interview. Everyone I spoke with seemed really positive about the company and what they're building. A couple of the interviewers were a bit late to our scheduled calls, but that's understandable, especially with how busy things can get at the start of the year.
- What's your experience in developing and implementing processes, and how have you handled team scaling efforts?
Customer Success Manager
You start with a call with the recruiter. If that goes well, you'll then have three 30-minute virtual interviews with different managers. The role actually changed from CSM to onboarding specialist during the process, so be ready for that. It's super important to use the STAR method for every answer. Seriously, if you can't nail that, don't bother applying. I had researched for customer success, but then had to speak about onboarding, so my prep wasn't as effective as it could have been.
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated X.
- Tell me about a time you handled Y.
- Tell me about a time you accomplished Z.
Customer Success Manager
I did a first round interview with the recruiter. It was standard, but I was disappointed by the pay. They said salary started at $49k/yr but was eligible for commission based on upsells.
- Can you tell me about the KPIs you've worked with?
