First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zocdoc.
Customer Success Associate
It was a 3 round process. The second round was a role play, and rounds 1 and 2 were pretty standard questions about the skills they are looking for. They want answers that are short and concise, about 2-3 minutes max. All the interviews were exactly 30 minutes, so keep that in mind. They also want you to have solid metrics to back up your experience. I can't imagine interviewing for this if you don't have work experience, so I wouldn't say it's truly entry level unless you have an internship that really lines up with the job or you had really solid clear metrics you were expected to meet.
- Can you share an example of a challenging situation at work and how you handled it?
- How do you ensure you stay organized?
- Tell me a bit about yourself.

I was prospected on Linkedin by a recruiter for this role. The interview process at Zocdoc needs a lot of improvement. First, the recruiter called me five minutes early for the initial phone screening, and the call dropped right after I answered. She called back and mentioned she was having technical issues. Then, midway through the phone screener, the call dropped again. About 10 minutes later, the recruiter called back to finish the interview, stating that Zocdoc's computers had crashed. This was inconvenient because it went over the scheduled 20-30 minute window, and I had blocked out exactly 30 minutes due to my day job. However, I decided to continue with the interview. The recruiter's demeanor during the interview was also peculiar. I provided practical and tactical answers based on my experience in sales and customer success roles, but the recruiter seemed to only want pre-scripted responses. She scrutinized my answers even though I gave detailed, clear responses with examples. It felt like they don't value authenticity, which would be a significant issue for me. The recruiter also sounded disengaged, as if just going through the motions. I got a quick rejection email the next day. The whole experience felt like a strange waste of time, and if I had known I'd have to deal with so many technical difficulties and a bored recruiter, I would have ignored the initial message.
- How do you maintain organization?

I applied for this job two years ago and didn't make it past the first round. I applied again recently and got an interview. I had to reschedule my interview for last week because of an emergency, and the recruiter was cool with it and sent me a new booking link. But then, on the original interview day (which I also had an emergency appointment for), the recruiter called me. I couldn't hear well because of bad service and thought it was a wrong number. I emailed her back to apologize, explain the bad service, and mention I'd already rescheduled the day before. She went completely silent instead of responding. I rescheduled again for today, but about 40 minutes before, she texted saying the interview would be pushed back 45 minutes. I couldn't change my work availability, so I told her that and asked if the next day would work. Again, total silence and no apology. It's unfair to people who deserve a real chance. Based on other reviews, this place doesn't value hardworking, smart, or determined people and ghosts them.
- Can you tell me how you keep yourself organized?
