Behavioral Presentation

You'll have an inside recruiter who's really persuasive and cool, fitting the brand. They're helpful and likable, as they make big commissions from hires. The process involves meeting 4 people across 2 face-to-face interviews. They might try to scare you to see if you'll fight for the role, but they're actually interested. They hire a lot of people, and your manager will tell you you're part of the '1%' accepted. You'll know if you got the job within a week. If they want you, the manager, a sales pro, will give you a sales pitch to join their 'club.'

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted by a recruiter for a quick phone interview, but nothing came of it. I then reached out to a senior sales exec at ZocDoc who suggested I apply for a higher-level role. I interviewed with him via Skype, and he scheduled another interview. That Monday, I received a strange email saying he was no longer with the company and I'd work with a new person. Turns out, the new guy was an assistant to the exec who left. I then took 3 hours of online tests. A few days later, I flew to NY for 8 hours of interviews. The process felt too long, some questions were unprofessional, and the atmosphere was arrogant. One of the executives I met with also left shortly after joining. The interview ended abruptly when the new guy said I wasn't his first choice and left. I waited 30 minutes for someone else, but no one came. It was after 5 pm, so I left. I sent a thank-you note but never heard back. Getting reimbursed for expenses took months and involved letters to the COO. Overall, a terrible interview process with a poor impression of the management.

Behavioral Technical Other

I was first contacted by HR after applying through LinkedIn. The initial call was over the phone and lasted about 30 minutes. After that, I got a link for a personality/IQ test, which wasn't too tough. Then, they scheduled a Skype interview that went pretty well, though I'm not a huge fan of Skype interviews. After that, I was invited to NYC for a day of interviews, with the company covering travel. This included four separate 20-minute interviews with people from operations, recruiting, inside sales, and upper management. They asked pretty standard questions, nothing too deep like STAR method questions. That evening, I got a call saying the interviews went great and they wanted me to meet with a regional sales manager in my area for a face-to-face meeting the next day, which also went well. Two days later, I got a job offer. I turned it down because of the non-negotiable $40k salary, a questionable bonus structure, no car allowance, and no 401k match. The benefits were okay, and there are stock options, but the base salary makes it tough, especially with covering gas yourself. Also, be wary of reviews on this site; I suspect many are posted by recruiters.
