Crew Member
I don't remember much about the interview process since it was so long ago. The other review options on GlassDoor are broken, as I can't select or type any year earlier than 2022 on mobile. The interview itself was straightforward and consisted of only one round. The manager was really friendly and even offered me a meal because I wasn't familiar with the restaurant.
- Tell me about your culinary experience.
Restaurant Manager
The hiring process is pretty involved. First, a recruiter will call you. Then you'll need to fill out a full application. After that, you'll go into the store to meet with the District Manager. Next, there's a 'working interview' also in the store. Then you have to do a long online test, covering personality and business experience. If you pass those, they'll make a job offer. If you accept, you sign the contract online and submit your documents. A few weeks later, the training kicks off. It's five weeks total: one week for Host Cashier, two weeks for prep cook/chef, and two weeks for management. Once training is done, you get assigned to a store and start your actual job.
- Are you ready to talk about your management style using many examples?
- Can you share some situation-based questions about your management style?
Prep Cook
There wasn't really much of a formal interview. The manager chatted with me about my life, like where I lived and stuff. Then, they asked me to come back the next day for a working interview. They let me into the kitchen to see the kind of work they do. This working interview lasted about two hours. I helped chop lettuce for salads and prepared tomato bisque and potato salad with some guidance from the previous prep cook.
- Have you had prior experience or skills as a prep cook?
Host/Cashier
You have 2 interviews. The first interview is basic, where we meet and discuss how you can help the company progress and grow. The second part is a working interview, basically hands-on, to get the feel of the job.
- What is your availability for work?
