First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zivelo.
CAD Designer
It was a 3 step process. First, a phone interview where they asked about my qualifications. Then, they asked for my references, and I gave them, and I know they were contacted. After that was the manager interview, where I presented my portfolio of previous work and we discussed ways I could help the company. Finally, the owner interview where we talked about the company vision.
- If you had to describe yourself as being held up by 3 pillars, what would they be?
Accounting Associate
The interview process was super relaxed and made me feel really comfortable. They kept me in the loop about everything from beginning to end, which was great, especially since there were 3 interviews in total. I was a bit nervous to meet the Owner, but he was really welcoming and easy to chat with.
- Tell me about your accounting background.
- Let's go over some accounting questions.
Design Engineer
It was a three-step thing. First, a phone screening interview. Then, an in-person interview with the department head and/or staff. After that, another in-person interview with the department head and the CEO. They didn't ask too many superficial questions, it was mostly about your past experience and you as a person. The conference room is only enclosed on three sides, so it feels a bit more open and relaxed, but don't be fooled. You're being judged on many different levels.
- If you were held up by three pillars, what would you say they were.
Marketing Director
I was contacted by the HR Director and after a quick phone chat, I went to their office for a 90-minute meeting. It felt like we clicked on marketing ideas. The owner joined for the last 30 minutes, and we had a good talk. Some questions were a bit odd, like asking to describe myself in three words if I were 'x'. After the meeting, I got a list of questions the next day asking about my inspirations, writing and design samples, and how I'd improve their website's SEO, content, design, and UI for better leads. I suspect they were more interested in gathering ideas from experienced marketers than hiring, especially since the role was never filled. It's a shame because I liked the team and felt I could've helped them achieve their goals.
- How would you describe yourself in three words, assuming you were x?
- In three words, how would you describe yourself?
