First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zivaro.
Software Developer
The interview process for Zivaro was extremely unprofessional. I submitted my application and did my interview a couple days later. Everything was fine until after the interview. They came back and said they couldn't meet the bottom of the pay range they had posted on the job req by almost 10%! To make matters worse, they said it was because I didn't meet the "total years of experience". I was exactly in the middle of the total years of experience that they had posted on the job requisition! I recently found out today that they CHANGED the salary range on the job req after apparently reviewing multiple people that they weren’t able to hire (likely because they probably also lost trust and respect for Zivaro). I do not recommend applying, interviewing, or taking a job for Zivaro.
- Tell me about your experience with the skills listed on the job requisition.
Systems Engineer
We had an on-site interview where I toured the facilities and then sat down with a panel of employees from the division. They asked me about my past experience, but it wasn't overly technical. They also asked if I would be OK with getting a security clearance and doing classified work.
- What applications and languages do you know?
- Tell me about your previous experience.
- Would you be okay with getting a security clearance?
Intern
I was approached at an event held on campus. The first step was a phone call where I talked about my interest in computing and my personal projects. About two weeks later, I went for an onsite interview that was pretty much the same. Before the interview, I got a tour of the facilities and met some of the team members I'd be working with.
- Can you talk about your interest in computing?
- Can you give me some details about your personal projects?
- What are your thoughts on general software design?
Wireless Consulting Engineer
I had a phone interview with two peers, and then the hiring manager gave the approval to fly me into Denver. My on-site interview was four days before they sent an offer letter. They verbally told me the offer two days after the interview, but I had to wait two more days for the official letter in the mail, and then I officially accepted, signed, and returned it.
- Why are you interested in working at GTRI?
