First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zips Car Wash.
Digital Marketing Specialist
A recruiter reached out, leading to an initial phone screening. Following that, there were two in-person interviews locally in Dallas, Texas. I felt both went very well and seemed quite promising because they were asking for a lot of specific skill sets that I have experience in. However, after two weeks of interviews, I received a rejection email. My main concern was that both individuals I interviewed with actually lacked direct digital marketing experience themselves, yet they were looking for someone to essentially take the entire role off their plates. This position has been open since May, and they still haven't found anyone, which clearly indicates a disconnect between internal expectations and external candidates. I'm not really sure what they're actually looking for in a candidate.

Sales Manager
The interview process was smooth and easy, with good greetings at the front desk. The environment seemed pleasant. They had a good greeting, and the questions were regular for this type of position, covering experience, good stories, revenue, etc.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Customer Service Associate
I got a call to meet up at the car location where they hold interviews. About 5-10 of us were there, and we interviewed one by one. Since they were short-staffed, I got an offer right away and they scheduled my orientation.

Training and Development Specialist
The interview process started with a teams interview with the department head, followed by a culture survey. After a two-week waiting period, I was invited for an in-person interview at the corporate office. A week later, I was informed that the finance department was delaying the hiring. I was under the impression that the position was approved during both interview rounds, and was even provided with a salary range. Ultimately, I felt my time was wasted. The hiring manager acknowledged the negative Glassdoor reviews and attempted to frame them positively as opportunities for improvement, which, after this experience, I can understand.
