First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ziplocal.
Business Consultant
They wanted to know about my past work experience in full detail. I got to watch and listen to how others worked for an hour during one part of the interview. Afterwards, they asked me what I thought about what I saw and heard. They were interested in my skills but also in understanding what kind of person I am. It seemed like they asked questions to make sure it would be a good fit for both me and the company. I felt respected and believed I was being told the truth about the company and the job. The staff seemed helpful when I asked about their job satisfaction, and there appeared to be an open-door policy, as others came in to talk to the floor regional manager I was interviewing with. Those who stopped by saw an interview was happening and waited until it was over.
- Can you share a success story about a significant achievement for the business and customer?
Media Advertising Consultant
It was a really thorough process -- there were 2 interviews, and I even had to spend time on the sales floor listening to other reps before they decided to hire me. They really look for people with digital marketing experience and expertise in online advertising, which is different from other places. My manager even gave me some pointers after the interview on how I could improve for my next one, which was super helpful and something I'd never experienced before.
- What are three things your previous employer would say about you if contacted?
Media Advertising Consultant
This company has a really chill vibe. If you're good-looking and can charm your way in, you'll probably get the job. Otherwise, you better have a solid background in sales and customer service, and keep those sales numbers high! That's pretty much it. Give them a call to schedule an interview, bring your resume, and make sure you dress very nicely.
- Could you tell me about your weaknesses and your strengths?
Media Advertising Consultant
They were looking for Digitally Savvy people for this Inside sales role where you sell from a desk. I was asked to come in and Interview. They asked standard questions and kept me on my toes. It was easy enough, and they seem relaxed. I'm excited to be here with the ZipLocal team.
- Tell me about your sales experience.
- How do you keep yourself motivated to sell?
