User Experience Content Associate
I applied in September 2018 and the whole thing took about a month. I got an email the same day I applied to set up a phone interview for the next week. It was a basic intro call about the job, the company, and my history. About a week later, I got an email to set up an in-person interview, which was a Skype call for me since I lived out of state. I met a bunch of people from different departments and the CEO, Aric. Everyone was super nice. The week after that, they emailed me asking me to do an exercise to show off my skills. The day after I finished that, they emailed me about an offer and I had to reach out to Aric to talk more. I started 3 weeks after that. It was pretty easy and they were good about getting back to me quickly.
- Can you tell us about your background and your abilities?
- Describe your skill set and how you manage yourself in a flat organizational structure.
Intern
I applied online and it took them about four weeks to call me back. Then, we set up an interview for the following week at their agency office. When I got there, I was given a written test with questions about social media and public relations, like writing a press release, social media updates, and general PR questions, plus why I wanted to work there. After that, I was interviewed by three people at once. I left and was later emailed and asked to come back for a second interview. But then, they changed their minds and decided it wasn't needed and just offered me the job instead.
- What makes you want to work at this company?
- What about social media fascinates you the most?
- What abilities do you possess that would benefit us?
Public Relations
I had a phone interview with some of the PR team members. It felt a bit impersonal but was efficient, like they were just going through the motions with candidate after candidate. The questions were direct and fundamental: tell me about yourself, what you'd contribute, who your ideal client would be, and your reasons for pursuing PR. Overall, it was a positive experience. I got an offer, but I'd already accepted another role. Shout out to Zion & Zion.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What unique contributions do you believe you can make to our company?
- If you could work with any client, who would it be and why?
Media Planner
The interview process was very organized. I had an initial call with the Media Director, followed by a panel interview via Zoom with the Media team and CEO. Everyone was very friendly and asked great questions. I then was asked to take an aptitude, personality, and MS Excel test. The last step was an assignment I had to present to the team. Lots of work, but it shows that they are very thorough about who they invest it- makes sense!
- What would be your approach given a specific budget?
- How would you handle a particular CPP scenario?
