The whole process took about two weeks, starting from the first contact until the final interview. It included a qualifying HR review, followed by a second interview with the HR Manager. Then, there was another interview with the initial interviewer. The process culminated in a scheduled in-person interview, which involved meeting with 5 different people, with each interview lasting around 30-45 minutes. After this extensive process, including spending money on gas and parking and taking significant time off work, I received an email stating that I was well-liked and that the executive team needed to review my application. However, three days later, I was informed that the executive team decided not to fill the position and would instead have a CSR handle the additional work in Spain. This was a complete waste of my time. There needs to be better communication with C-level management before posting jobs and with all management levels to ensure everyone is aligned and ready to proceed.

The interview process started with an initial phone call with the internal HR recruiter to check my qualifications and review my resume. Next, I had a second phone interview with the HR Manager, which was a very pleasant conversation. The third interview was an onsite session lasting 4 hours. During this time, I met individually with different members of the management team. They asked questions directly related to the role and my background, and I found them to be manageable. After a month from applying to the final interview, I was disappointed to learn that although everyone liked me and thought I was highly qualified, upper management decided to absorb the position and fill it with someone from another office. This felt like a lack of communication between departments, something I'd expect to be resolved before the position was even posted.

The whole thing took about a month and a half. It started with one interview with HR Manager, then another with the Hiring manager, and the final one was on-site with the team. Oh, and there was a Cognitive and Personality test too. Overall, it was a great experience, very professional and handled well. All the questions they asked felt relevant to the job, and the interviewers seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me better. It was actually an interesting experience that taught me a bit about this cool industry. The HR Manager kept me in the loop about what was happening next. Sadly, I didn't get an offer in the end, but the HR manager was really thoughtful about explaining why and giving me feedback.

I was told the job was going to be more analytical and work with the Microsoft suite. I didn't realize it would mainly involve inputting data into Excel spreadsheets. I was asked about my familiarity with magazines, even though the work wasn't editorial. Then, I was explained what the job entailed and told it was a temp position with a chance to extend, so I decided to go for it.
