Content Analyst
I did 3 rounds total. First, I talked with HR. Then, I had a chat with a manager from the department. The last interview was with the head of the department. They were all super nice!
- What are your predictions for the future of social media?
Copywriter
I freelanced for them. They didn't even check out my portfolio; just seeing I had one seemed to be enough. HR talked to me, not any of the creative directors. Kind of funny.
- What's your availability to start?
- Are you able to consider a lower rate?
Copywriter
I applied for both Junior and mid-level Copywriter positions since I had a lot of freelance experience. I knew there might be a bit of a learning curve without agency experience, so I was ready to start as a Junior to learn and grow. The entire interview process took about two hours. I spoke with the Managing Creative Director for 30 minutes, then with a Creative Director who would have overseen the team I'd be joining, and finally with two senior VP level CDs. They were very welcoming. We reviewed my portfolio, and they had some great feedback. Each of these short interviews was pretty informal. They only asked me a few questions, and then I was given the chance to talk about myself and ask my own questions. This part was a bit challenging because it was unexpected, but after the first one, the others felt much easier.
- Can you walk me through your creative process and explain how your abilities align with what this company needs?
- How do you see your skills benefiting this agency?
