Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zimmer Biomet.
Sales
The hiring process is quite drawn out and involves several steps like phone interviews, in-person meetings, and Zoom calls. They also include psychoanalytical tests. You'll have in-person meetings with the GM, but it doesn't seem to lead directly to an offer. The interviewers tend not to share much about the company culture, social aspects, salary, or benefits. However, they expect candidates to be highly professional, educated, skilled, detail-oriented, experienced, and good problem solvers, all for a very low salary. Honestly, I'd recommend saving your time and skipping this opportunity.

- Questions about closing sales deals.
- Questions about how to handle customer relations.
Sales Representative
I got a call from a recruiter to schedule a meeting with the regional manager. Then, I had another phone interview with her. This was the most unprofessional interview ever. I'm sure I wasn't the most qualified, but I went in feeling like I deserved to move on. The interviewer seemed uninterested from the beginning, driving in her car, yawning, and being rude. I showed my interest and asked questions, but she acted like it was a burden. I get she's busy, but interviewing is part of her job. While she might not have wanted to do it, it was a big day for me and my family. Like I said, a more qualified candidate probably got the job, but the lack of professionalism was obvious, and I'll let other medical sales professionals know about Zimmer.

- Could you tell me about your knowledge of Zimmer's product offerings and your motivation for seeking employment with us?
Sales Representative
There were 3 interviews in total, with the last one being a panel interview. The process was moderately challenging. They're looking for someone who is really into the job and the products they'll be selling. You need to be likable, caring, motivated, and a good worker.
- Can you describe a significant challenge you encountered in a past role and how you successfully navigated it?
