First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zimmer Biomet.
Quality Engineer
The interview process involved a phone screening, an online interview, and a final in-person interview. During the initial phone call, they talked about the company and the role and let me ask questions. The phone and online interviews didn't have many questions. The last interview, the in-person one, included a tour of the company and meetings with hiring managers and senior engineers.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict or disagreement with others in a group.
Quality Engineer
It was a bait and switch situation. I was initially submitted for a specific job title and salary by a recruiter. After interviewing with the hiring manager, I was moved to interview with four other groups. They initially said they wanted to make an offer, but then called back to say they wanted me at a salary $30k lower and with a lower title, equivalent to someone who just graduated college. Since I have over 15 years of experience, I declined.
- Were there technical questions?
- Were there behavioral questions?
- Did you ask them questions?
Quality Engineer
I had a phone interview with the hiring manager for about 30 minutes in the first week of October. I was invited over to my current facility for a face to face interview with 3 other managers. It took a few weeks for them to make an offer because of a hiring freeze. I joined on the 3rd of january, 2017.
- How would you make sure a process is validated and monitored?
