Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zimmer Biomet.
Manufacturing Engineer
ZB reached out and we set up a virtual meeting. After that, I was brought in for an in-person interview with the team. I got the offer about two weeks later. Overall, the process seemed fine, though I don't have much to compare it to.
- Were you coming from a senior ME role, or not?
Manufacturing Engineer
I had 2 in-person interviews. The first one was more formal, with the associate director of engineering and a senior engineer. I was told I didn't get that position, but they called me a week later to schedule another interview with the person who would become my manager. The second interview was more casual. They offered me the job right away.
- Could you share a weakness of yours?
- Can you give me a brief overview of your resume?
Manufacturing Engineer
I was interviewed for a Sr Mfg Engineer position. The phone interview with the hiring manager was completely off-topic, and the questions asked had nothing to do with the job description. Apparently, they just use a standard job description for all Mfg Engineer roles. It was quite disappointing to invest my time and effort only to be interviewed for a different role than I applied for.
- Can you describe how you would align with Zimmer's X,Y,Z policies and the nature of this job?
