Growth Marketing Manager
Started with a recruiter call, then spoke with the hiring manager, followed by a presentation to the hiring manager and other stakeholders. There was a final interview with the VP of Marketing. I put a lot of effort into preparing a detailed project presentation, and the initial feedback was very positive. However, I never heard back from the recruiter after following up, which was disappointing given the effort invested and the lack of closure.

Business Development Representative
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, even though I wasn't actively job hunting. The whole process had 3 parts: first, a chat with the recruiter. Then, I had two more video calls with the hiring manager where we discussed my experience, responsibilities, and some hypothetical situations.
- Can you tell me about your experience and knowledge of the company?
Application Consultant
I got contacted by HR for a 30-minute initial call, which was a pretty standard Q&A about the job and my past work. Near the end, the recruiter asked if I had questions, so I asked a couple about the role and then about when I'd hear back. She said she'd pass my info to the hiring manager and I should get an update by the end of the week. Right after we finished, like a minute later, I got an email that looked like an automated thank you. But surprisingly, it was from the recruiter saying they moved on with other candidates. I asked for feedback on why I didn't get it, but got no reply, which was disappointing. I noticed early on she was yawning, which felt unprofessional. A note to management: as an experienced person putting effort into applying and interviewing, I expect to be treated respectfully, even if I don't get the job.
- Can you tell me about your previous role?
Partner Manager
I had a recruiter screening interview and then a hiring manager interview pretty quickly, like within a week. The HM interview seemed to go really well, and he mentioned setting up a follow-up with him and also a meeting with sales leadership once they were back in the office. After that, I didn't hear anything back. The recruiter and HM both went silent, and my follow-up emails got no response. Eventually, about 6-8 weeks later, I got an automated email saying they decided to go with someone else. It would have been way better if they'd just been upfront, but I guess that's not how they do things there.

- If I asked your manager or coworkers about your strengths, what would they say?
