Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online, had a recruiter call, a hiring manager call, and then an in-person interview. The recruiter was generally organized until it was time for feedback after the onsite. The interviewers seemed unprepared with questions and a clear interview structure. On the day of the onsite, the hiring manager was ill, which happens, but he left the decision to the team, and I never got to meet him in person. Speaking with the head of sales, he seemed very focused on what I could do for him, rather than seeing it as a partnership between sales and marketing. I suspect pushing back on that didn't sit well with him. After a week post-onsite, I contacted the recruiter for an update, and a few hours later got a canned response that they were proceeding with other candidates who had industry experience. First, the response felt generic and not tailored to my specific interview. Second, I had to chase it down, and the feedback was clearly documented, so why not proactively follow up professionally? Third, over a month later, the role is still open, indicating the response was not only canned but also inaccurate. This company needs to work on its product strategy, execution, and understanding of its target market. The team is new, and hopefully, they achieve some traction.

Behavioral Presentation

The process was well organized and professional, thorough but respectful of my time. Meeting the various team members and visiting the San Francisco (large, well located and lovely) HQ location was very enjoyable! They made me feel comfortable and encouraged during the presentation part of the interview process. The executive and management team on the call were warm, open and honest with me. This made what could have been painful...very enjoyable! I knew then that this is the type of team that I would want to partner with! 4 months in....I still feel that way. Great work environment, interesting solutions, perfect stage to be set up for success and have the feel of a start-up, but the resources needed to be successful, amazing co-workers, impressive and supportive leadership, ability to be creative in an enterprise level sales challenge and good money making potential!!

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It started with a phone screening, then a 1/1 video call with the Customer Success team lead. I didn't get selected to move forward then. But three months later, the HR rep reached out again about a new CSM role. I was still interested and happy they contacted me back. I had a second 1/1 video call with the CS team lead and then went onsite for three interviews with the Customer Success Team: a CS Manager, the Head of Implementation, and the CRO. Each 45-minute meeting was standard, and the interviewers were on time, friendly, and gave me a good feel for the company. After the onsite, the CS lead extended an offer.

The whole interview process took about 2-3 weeks, happening in March 2016. It included a recruiter call, a technical code screening, and an on-site interview. It would have been better if the interview process was more organized with a confirmed panel. On the day of the on-site interview, there was a surprise - they called an hour before the scheduled time to ask me to come in early and meet an additional engineering person. I was flexible and arrived about 30 minutes early to accommodate the recruiter's request. Another surprise came after the formal offer was extended and negotiations were underway; I was asked to do one more hour-long phone screen with a manager who had recently joined the company. Although I interviewed for a Senior QA Automation Engineer role, the initial offer was for a QA role, which they corrected after I raised my concern, making me feel like the title wasn't that important. The salary offered was not competitive at all.
