First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zevia.
Logistics Specialist
The whole hiring process was pretty thorough, taking about 20 days from when I first got in touch. It involved a series of interviews, starting with the manager, then going up to the director, and finally the president, with HR present for all of them. They seemed really invested in finding the right person, and the conversations felt pretty open.
- Can you share an instance where you navigated a high-pressure situation at work?
Director, Finance
They’ll keep you warm and engaged for multiple weeks, but don't get your hopes up about moving forward. Had a 45-minute screen with HR, focusing heavily on fit and culture. Got the thumbs up and was asked for availability. That didn't get scheduled due to 'internal projects,' so was asked for availability again. Again, it didn't get scheduled, and they said they'd reach out the following week. Three more emails delaying until finally declining because 'others were farther along in the process.' All in all, over a month, five scheduling/delay emails, and then the decline.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Brand Manager
The whole thing dragged on for more than two months and involved 6 interviews, capped off with a final chat with the CEO. They threw in a brand assessment thingy that they only gave me less than 24 hours to prep for, with barely any info. Honestly, it sounded like a cool place to work and I'm bummed I didn't get the gig. The interview process itself was just weird, super drawn out, and not really organized well. Mostly, I'm just annoyed I spent so much time and effort on it only to get a simple 'no' (but hey, at least they called).
- Can you tell me about your relevant skills and experience for this position?
Operations Coordinator
I went through a staffing agency for this role, and then I was interviewed by the VP and my direct supervisor. They asked very direct questions, and it was a pleasant interview. I was nervous, but it went great!
- Can you discuss your relevant experience?
- Could you tell me about your previous employer to understand your transferable skills?
- Can you speak about your experience working with a VP and your direct report?
