The interview process was pretty quick and easy. I applied and got contacted about a week later, on a Thursday. The very next day, I had an hour-long interview. It went great, and I got an invite for a second interview by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. This second interview was a 2-person panel, and I had 24 hours to prep a short presentation for it, which happened the following Thursday. So, I did 2 interviews and a presentation all in the span of a week. The second interview also went really well. They seemed super impressed, asked about my start date and salary expectations, and said I'd hear back in 1-2 weeks. That was a month ago, and I still haven't heard anything. After waiting the 2 weeks, I sent a polite follow-up email, but got no reply. A week later, I sent a second email, assuming I didn't get the job, and asked for feedback since the interviews went so well. Still no response. It was very disorganized, and I'm really disappointed. I really feel like I deserved a response, especially since they kept saying how impressed they were and thanking me for applying throughout the whole process.

Digital Marketing Communications Specialist
The interview process went very smoothly. They got back to me quickly with next steps and scheduling for the next round. Everyone who I interviewed with was super nice and excited to work for the company. There was a phone screening and 3 zoom interviews. I also had to provide a writing sample for my last interview. I got pretty far in the interview process but after the last round I didn't hear back from anyone again. I thought the HR department could have at least told me that I wasn't selected for the job being as though I gave them a month of my life doing back to back interviews. In all, it was a positive interviewing process I just didn't like that once they chose someone for the job they didn't communicate anything to me again.
- Why are you the ideal candidate for this position?
Program Associate
The hiring process was comprised of 3 different interviews, all of them in person. The first interview was a panel with the hiring Manager and the VP for the position. The second interview was also a panel and the HR person never mentioned that all the participants would be conducting the interview remotely through Skype for Business. I was the only person physically at their Washington DC office, so I felt like it was a waste of my time, as I could be attending the interview remotely as well. Later another person from their staff entered the room and joined the interview, but the HR person never mentioned that a fourth person would be participating in the panel. 70% of the questions asked in the second interview were exactly the same from the first interview. After the panel interview was over, the HR Manager finally walked in, introduced herself and interviewed me AGAIN, so that would be the 3rd interview. More repeated questions from the first and second interviews. After being so far into the hiring process, one would think that HR would send you a courtesy message informing that you were not selected, but I have never heard back from them. The staff members were very nice, but HR seemed very disorganized and the hiring process a little bit confusing.
- What kind of supervision do you prefer?
Communications Manager
After applying on DC Jobs, I was invited to interview about a week or two later and scheduled it for a little over a week after that. The in-person interview had two parts: first a panel of three, then the department head one-on-one. Questions were normal, I got to ask mine, and I was told I was a finalist. HR was supposed to contact me for a final round, but instead, they made me an offer about a week later, which was a nice surprise! HR was my only contact for everything. No test, but I did submit writing samples. The whole thing was super easy and fast.
