Data Scientist
It was a really long, unclear, and disorganized process. After applying online, it took three weeks to hear back from HR for an initial screening. Then, I had a phone interview with a senior data scientist. After that, a different HR person contacted me and I was given a timed take-home test that included both theory and coding. I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks, so I reached out to HR. They told me the position was on hold for another month. In the meantime, I applied for another job at the company, and a third HR person wanted to restart the entire process.
- Can you discuss the data and evaluation metrics used in the ML model for your most recent consulting project?
Data Scientist
I was picked for an online test but the job got filled, so I just did the test for fun. It was tough to answer 6 questions and a case study because of the time limit. The software used for testing wasn't great for typing, showing only a few words at a time, making it hard to type full formulas since they weren't visible.
- Find two prime numbers that add up to 999.
- Alice and Bob roll a fair die, with the first to get a 6 winning. Alice goes first. What's the probability Alice wins?
- If two cards numbered 1 to 100 are drawn randomly, what is the probability that one card's number is double the other's?
Data Scientist
I applied online for data scientist 2 position and got an email asking me to take an online test on hackerrank with basic math questions. However, they rejected my application because they had an immediate requirement.
- Could you explain basic probability questions related to the Bayesian theorem?
