Product Manager
The interview process was super thorough and moved really fast. It included a Hiring Manager screen, a 'Level Up' chat with another PM, a case study exercise, an interview with the Technical Manager, a formal Panel Interview where I had to present the case study, and then final meetings with the Director and VP. While it was really efficient, it would have been better if they communicated the outcomes of each round more clearly.
- How do you work with R&D, and how do you decide what goes on the roadmap?
Product Manager
It was a 5 stage interview process. I met with different team members including design, engineering, and leadership. It also included a project where I had to prepare a slide deck beforehand and present it to a panel of peers and my manager. They gave me feedback quickly and I heard back about their decision pretty fast too.
- When deciding on features, how do you weigh data-driven insights against the need for innovation?
Product Manager
Started with a recruiter screening, then I met the hiring manager. They mentioned a take-home assessment and another interview if I passed. After completing the assessment and a presentation (which was research-heavy but kind of fun), I found out there were actually 5 more interviews! That was a shock, completely unexpected. I had to take a couple of days off to get ready for the presentation. The presentation itself was a panel interview, and the other 4 interviews were with different teams. The Engineering and Design interviews were quite technical and scenario-based. Overall, the immediate feedback felt positive, and I wasn't too worried. Had to wait two weeks for the rejection, which came with individual feedback. It was nice to get feedback, though some comments felt a bit off from how I remembered the interviews, almost like they were trying to justify the decision. I met some great people I would have liked to work with, but it didn't work out. I did express interest in other roles, but my message was frustratingly ignored. So, a bit of a mixed experience.
- Can you describe a situation where you had a disagreement with the Design team?
- Which Agile methodology are you currently employing?
