Zara Sales Representative Interview Questions
& Process

I applied for a sales assistant job on the Zara / Inditex website. After doing their online virtual interview, I was invited to a group interview in London with about 15-20 other people. We did several group challenges. For example, we spent 5 minutes getting to know the person next to us and then introduced them to the group, figured out which photoshoot images matched which Inditex brand, and styled a celebrity using items from their online stores. Even after passing the group interview, you don't get a job offer right away. You're just put in a 'talent pool' until a role opens up. It felt like the whole process was a bit much.

We had a group interview with about 20-25 people. We were given a group scenario and had a few minutes to show how we'd handle a retail situation. It was tough in groups of 5-6 because no one really took the lead, but we managed. I don't think doing really well or not matters too much. They pretty much always ask everyone to fill out availability for at least three stores at the end, and getting hired depends on your availability. If you seem professional, enthusiastic, and have great availability as a casual employee, you'll probably be considered.

So, it was a group interview with about 20 people. We kicked things off with an icebreaker where you chat with the person next to you to find two commonalities. Then, you introduce your 'retail superpower' (like adaptability or multitasking) and end it with a hashtag, plus a super short reason why. After that, they gave us a company intro and talked about themselves. We then had two group tasks, each in a group of 5. The first was to make a mind map about customer challenges in a shop and how to make their experience better. The second task was to prioritize five different situations. That was pretty much it, no one-on-one chats at all.
