Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zara.
Student Worker
The interview process was super easy and straightforward, with really nice HR folks. It was a quick 20-minute chat. Two HR people interviewed me, and they were really friendly and upbeat. I got the job the next day.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What makes you interested in this position?
Intern
I applied online and got an email with all the info about the time and place for the group selection process. It lasted a whole day and included a company presentation; talking about some personal info and a fun fact in pairs in front of everyone; answering some group questions, but without much time to do them; and an essay about outsourcing. Overall, I found it quite superficial; the recruiters didn't really get to know the candidates (around 40 of us); we were told those who passed would be notified by SMS, making us waste time waiting, only for just 3 people to pass only 30 minutes after the essay analysis for the next stage.
- How would you resolve potential issues that arise in one of the stores?
- Write an essay on the topic of outsourcing.
Internship
Simple face-to-face interview, additionally a psicotest. They value foreign languages, being young and smart. Previous experience is valued, as are good manners, fashion sense, beauty, and knowledge of products. They also look for experience dealing with customers, studies, interest in the firm, and contacts with design firms. They asked about hobbies and habits, and where you see yourself in 5 years. They also asked what you like about this company.
- Tell me about your experience.
