First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zanes Law.
Settlement Coordinator
I had two interviews, each with a different person. They mostly asked about my past experiences. I could ask them questions about the job or company whenever I wanted.
- Tell me about your high school experiences.
- What significant influences have shaped your life?
- Could you walk me through your resume?
Settlement Coordinator
I applied through the UofA Law School process and heard back from Zanes pretty quickly. The first interview was over the phone. About a week later, I had an in-person interview with two team members. This interview was about an hour long. Following that, I was invited back for another interview that lasted a bit over an hour. Both interviews felt comfortable and covered standard topics.
- Could you tell me about the specific areas of law you're interested in post-law school and how Zanes aligns with those aspirations?
Case Manager
The interview process can differ based on who is interviewing you, as things are not done consistently. You will get some tests by email. There will be a phone interview, then a face-to-face interview with the team or a panel.
- Have you done research on the firm?
Legal Assistant
My interview was about three years ago and it was the most interesting interview I have ever had. I was in a room with six other people and we were asked questions on a variety of topics, most of which did not have to do with my work experience. It was unusual but very fun and friendly.
- What skills would you use to convince your tribe not to send you home if you were on Survivor?
