First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zadig et Voltaire.
Sales Advisor
Interview with the store managers, the important thing is to be yourself, while still having the basics of sales (IV, PM etc…), and maybe 2/3 current events. And know some timeless pieces of the brand (Alma, Pochette rock, high flash etc..).
- What are the key sales indicators?
Sales Advisor
First, there was a phone call with the store manager to set up an interview. The manager was 15 minutes late. The interview itself was strange; the manager mostly talked about himself, his career, and how proud he was to work at Zadig & Voltaire. He then discussed his management style, his store, and his leadership qualities (being empathetic, a good listener, focusing on team and store growth). He showed very little interest in me. I later realized this was all a facade. His management is actually terrible, leading to high turnover as no one wants to stay. Then, I had an interview with HR, who did take the time to be interested in me, my background, and my career goals. It was a real conversation. A few days later, they called to give me the decision.
- What are your thoughts on the Zadig & Voltaire brand?
Sales Advisor
I applied directly in the store. I received the confirmation email from the manager who forwarded my CV to head office. Interview with HR 30-40 minutes via video call. Interview with the store manager in person, about 30 minutes.
- What does being a good sales advisor mean to you? What skills are needed?
- Tell me about your experiences, including both the good and bad parts.
