Behavioral Case

Had an initial consultative interview that covered a lot of ground about the role, expectations for growing market share, and the origin of Zacks Research and Management. David asked a bunch of questions, focusing on how the main goal was to get Zacks funds onto the brokerage platforms of RIAs.

Behavioral Technical

I went through three rounds of interviews with Zacks and then heard nothing back. I tried reaching out to both the hiring manager and HR for an update, but received zero response. While I understand not making the cut, I expected a more professional communication, like a short email. It seems this basic courtesy was too difficult for Zacks.

So the interview process for a Senior Manager role starts with a screening call, then a first interview focusing on leadership experience, and they might give you an assessment task too. After that, there's a panel interview to see how you collaborate, and a behavioral interview to dive into your decision-making. The last step is meeting with executive leadership, and if all goes well, they'll extend a job offer, then you negotiate and get onboarded.

Behavioral Other

You will be asked a set of questions to determine your aptitude. Then, you'll go through multiple rounds of phone calls and meetings. Part of the process involves getting up really early, at 4:45 AM, to call an RVP on the West Coast and ask them questions. This is meant to be a sort of commitment test, and the RVP won't actually pick up, but you'll have to keep calling. Later on, you'll find out there isn't actually an RVP on the West Coast.
