Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at YWCA.
Administrative Coordinator
The hiring process was efficient and well organized, with prompt communication. First, there was a phone screening to talk about my qualifications and interests. Then, I had a panel interview with the hiring manager and potential teammates. The last step was an interview with another manager I would work with.
- Some of the interview questions will cover DEI topics.
Program Coordinator
The interview was pretty chill, not gonna lie. But it felt like the HR person didn't really know the program (fitness) we were interviewing for. They couldn't really give examples or explain stuff about fitness. I bet they ask the same questions to everyone, no matter what department they're hiring for at the YWCA.
- How do you integrate our mission into your everyday activities?
Program Coordinator
I talked to the program manager and assistant manager over video call. They seemed nice and easy to talk to. They said they would make a decision the next week. In the end, they decided to promote someone already working there.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with vulnerable populations?
