Account Executive
First, I had a screening call with the recruiter, and then a second interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter was great, super helpful in getting me info for the next round. I felt like I really did my best in that second interview. The company culture seems really good, and they seem to genuinely care about making the interview process a positive one. I liked that they kept me updated even after the rejection, which is rare these days.
- Regarding working in the office, is that a requirement you're okay with?
- Do you have experience managing the entire sales cycle?
- Can you describe your experience with sales processes that have extended durations?

The interview process was okay but there was a compliance issue. The recruiter asked me about my work status in Canada and listed all the options and asked me to pick which one I had, instead of just asking if I was legally authorized to work. This question is illegal in Ontario. Companies in Canada and the US should have standard procedures for this and train their hiring teams. It makes me question their internal compliance and interview guidelines. I really think they need to train interviewers better on Canadian employment standards. For future candidates, be aware that questions about specific status are not appropriate and are protected under Ontario law. I hope this helps make things better.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you walk me through your previous experiences?
IT Operations Analyst
The interview process was really bad. They asked for my academic transcript way too early, before we even talked about an offer or anything, which was weird and unprofessional. Also, the interviewer had this really strong, fake-sounding accent that made talking to them feel awkward and not genuine, like they cared more about how they sounded than what we were actually discussing. The whole thing felt messy and unclear. I wouldn't suggest interviewing here unless they really change how they hire people.
- Why was your academic transcript requested before a potential offer or discussion of next steps?
- Can you tell us more about your qualifications and why they're relevant for this role, given the early request for your transcript?
- What are your initial impressions of our interview process and the communication style you've experienced?
Account Manager
The hiring process started with a screening call, followed by an online interview with the VP of Sales. Then, there was an on-site interview with two Account Managers and two VPs. Finally, I had an offer call with an HR Representative. The entire process spanned about 5 weeks. When I asked for a higher base salary, they rescinded my offer, essentially saying that 'people who ask for a higher base salary don't tend to work out.' While I get that there might be no salary flexibility, I wish they had been more compassionate instead of making me feel like I was irrational for trying to negotiate. It seems like a good company with a great product, but be prepared for a strict 5-day in-office policy, rigid company rules, and a meager PTO plan.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What would you say is your biggest weakness?
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced and how you overcame it?
