I put in my application around the middle of June and heard back for an interview before July started. Since it was still the pandemic era, all interviews were done online via Zoom at the beginning of July. I went through 2 rounds of interviews and really clicked with the managers. We both seemed really interested in each other, and I thought an offer was in the works. Sadly, I was told I wasn't moving forward after the second interview because I couldn't fulfill one of their main requirements (needing a car for errands). I get their point, I really do. But honestly, like a lot of people these days, the pandemic and the money issues over the past 2.5 years have made buying a car just not possible for me right now. It actually kind of surprised me that a big agency like theirs doesn't have a company car. I'd still be open to future roles, but given how keen they seemed to hire me, I was hoping we could work something out.

I got an email and then interviewed at their Hollywood office. They showed me around the office and asked about my availability. Then they ghosted me, which really shows a lack of leadership and respect for people's time.

I met with the head of production and the creative head of the studio, as well as my sales counterparts. We had several interviews, some on-site and some off-site in Hollywood. They wanted to know if I was familiar with the production process and if I had deep relationships in the entertainment industry.
