First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Youth Opportunities Unlimited.
Payroll Specialist
Had two interviews then a final interview. The first was a phone call with the internal recruiter or hiring manager, the second was a video call, and then the first in-person interview in the office. Make sure to leave time to get to the parking garage on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in this position?
- What's your experience using different software for payroll?
- Can you elaborate on your past skills and experiences relevant to payroll?
Intern
The interview process was pretty smooth. They asked their questions and I heard back within a week. They made me feel comfortable and it was pretty laid back, with some small talk. The people were friendly and the questions weren't super hard, not making me overthink my answers.
- How would you bring our values and visions into your daily work?
Case Manager
I went through 5 interviews for this role. First, there was a phone interview. Then, I had two in-person interviews. I also interviewed with HR and the CEO. Finally, a background check was conducted. There were no shadowing opportunities because the program is new.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Director of Development
I had one chat with the VP of Finance, who also handles HR. We chatted for about 45 minutes in his office. For a development role, it felt pretty marketing-focused, even though he didn't want to admit it. He was super nice and kept saying how he liked doing interviews because he got to meet people.
- Tell me about a recent success from your previous job.
