First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at YourMembership.
Web Designer
The people interviewing me were nice for the most part, but I did feel put down a couple of times, which is new for me. They were very dismissive and condescending about my past work experience, even though this is an entry-level role.
- Beyond the limited scope of your portfolio, what other experiences do you possess?
Support Specialist
After some initial contact, an interview was set up. It lasted about 2.5 hours and I spoke with a manager and then a VP. We moved between offices. They wanted to know about my professional background and if I understood their product. Mostly, they asked about my past experiences. The interview felt pretty casual. I heard back from them two weeks later.
- What's prompting your departure from your current job?
- Can you explain your past professional experiences?
- How familiar are you with our product?
Sales Operations Manager
A head hunter helped me get this role. First, I had a couple of phone screens. Then, I went in person to meet with the sales managers, the Director of Operations, and the VP of Sales, Larry. They were all pretty direct. The only surprise was the salary expectations, which differed from what the headhunter initially told me versus what the company stated.
- Larry wanted to understand my personal background.
- The rest of the interview was standard if you prepared.
Software Engineer
It was a pretty chill interview process. I had some one-on-one chats with managers and then a group chat with two current developers. It wasn't super technical, they kind of backed off on questions after I answered the first few. They asked a lot about what I knew about the company, so definitely do your research beforehand.
- They seemed curious about my skills and also wanted to know about my interests outside of work.
- They asked a lot of questions about what I knew about the company.
