Legal Assistant
The interview process was a bit disorganized; I had to wait about an hour, and the front desk repeatedly had to remind the manager. I was interviewed by the manager and assistant manager, though the latter didn't say much. They asked basic questions, and I was expecting a background check. A week later, I got a part-time offer for legal assistant at minimum wage. Once I started, the manager gave me a lot of information and lots of paperwork to fill out. Then, I shadowed some new paralegals who weren't great at explaining their tasks.
- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
- What makes you feel you'd be a good fit for our company?

The interview process was okay, but the salary offered was a lowball compared to my worth. When I asked about their budgeted range, they only gave a starting number, implying they would go higher for the right candidate. It felt like a waste of my time. They seemed like novices during the interview, reading questions from a sheet of paper, which I should have taken as a red flag. If you're looking to work long hours for low pay, this is the place for you.
- What drives your passion?
Receptionist
It was a pretty quick process, I had a phone interview and then was called in for an in person interview within a week. Got offered the job a couple days later.
- What's your approach to managing a situation with an unhappy client?
