First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yokogawa.
Engineering
The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first round involved basic aptitude questions. The second round was a technical interview focusing on ECE and basic embedded C programming, including questions about a mini-project from college. The third round was another technical interview covering control systems and embedded systems, with specific questions on PLC and automation.
- Can you write a C program to control the movement of a robotic arm, making it move from left to right or vice versa?
Engineer
The interview process involves 4 rounds in total. First three are technical rounds, and the final one is HR. The initial technical round was a written test covering the basics of transducers and process control. The second round was a technical interview with significant eliminations; questions were simple but required a strong grasp of fundamentals. The third round was also technical with straightforward questions, but good communication was emphasized, and eliminations also occurred here. I'm now awaiting the HR rounds at the Bengaluru head office, expecting them to be straightforward.
- Could you explain the fundamental principle behind a pressure gauge?
- What is the reason for using a 4-20 mA range over a 0-max range?
- Could you describe the characteristics of valves?
Engineer
The interview process took 2 days and was held at the Yokogawa office. Eligibility required 60% and only the instrumentation branch was eligible. They made us wait for 2 hours. Sometimes they ask puzzles, so be prepared for that. Be confident. That's it.
- Basic electronics questions were asked.
- Questions about digital electronics were included.
- They inquired about transducers.
