First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yokogawa of America.
Manufacturing Engineer
My opinion of their hiring process is that they wasted my time. I applied two months before they contacted me. I attended an interview that lasted an hour and a half, and they never bothered to inform me afterwards if I was being offered a position. I believe it is basic courtesy to at least let someone know if they are not selected, rather than not responding to emails post-interview.
- Do you have experience with Excel?
Marketing Specialist
It was a demanding and thoughtless hiring process. I went through three phone interviews, a lunch meeting with three people, and then flew out to Georgia for a presentation to thirteen people, followed by five consecutive one-on-one interviews. After returning home, they asked me to do another, separate presentation to ten people online. I followed up with everyone I spoke with but got no response. The company recruiter contacted me but didn't provide any feedback and didn't return my call. I feel like I dodged a bullet! I'm so disappointed about the wasted money, time spent preparing for multiple presentations, and lost income from my previous job.
- Describe your process for collaborating with engineers to obtain necessary information.
Applications Engineer
It was a 4-hour experience. Started with a tour of their facility in Newnan, GA. Then I interviewed with the two managers I'd be reporting to directly. After that, there was a one-on-one with HR. Lastly, I had my final interview with upper-level management in the department. Each interview was about an hour long. They talked a lot about the position and its expectations, and also about my history and relevant experiences. It was a long process but it wasn't uncomfortably so.
- Can you share an example of a time you faced and overcame a significant obstacle?
Technical Specialist
It was a low-pressure, easy interview where they went over my qualifications and life goals. The environment felt professional, and the team seemed to be in good spirits. I interviewed with two team members, and it felt like a positive experience overall.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience before joining Yokogawa?
