First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yoh.
Contingent Worker
Awesome interview process. They were really clear and understood what the job was about. The people interviewing me were nice. They kept their promises after I accepted. They also were upfront about what the job really entailed.
- Can you describe your experience in engineering?
- Can you describe your experience with calibrations?
Customer Service Representative
Got an interview with the team manager through an employee referral. They asked standard questions about CSR situations, my work experience, and what I hoped to get out of the job. There were two interview rounds total. The job was remote, and all the onboarding stuff was done online. The company sent me the equipment to my house.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to handle a challenging customer and what steps you took to resolve it?
Posting Specialist
I heard back from a Yoh recruiter about two weeks after applying. They sent an email to schedule a 30-minute phone screen. A few days later, we did the phone screen. About four days after that, I got another email to set up an onsite interview with the client I'd be working for. The next week, I went for the onsite, which was about 2.5 hours. It started with an hour with the Yoh hiring manager, then an hour with the client manager, followed by a 30-minute tour of the office. It took them about a week after that to extend an offer, so the whole process from initial contact to offer was almost a month.
- Can you describe how you would manage an urgent task that arises when you already have a lot on your plate?
- Tell me about a time you encountered a difficult individual at work and how you handled it.
Account Manager
I applied online after meeting a Yoh Account Manager and being laid off from my last job. The recruiter called the next day for a brief phone interview where I made sure to smile and stand up to keep my energy up. I read 'The Art of Possibility' and researched the company on their website. I then had a 1-on-1 with the Market Manager. A key skill I emphasize is listening. I listened in the first interview and got a second interview with the Regional Manager, where I again listened and asked about her goals. I focus on what I can bring to help the company grow and have a list of things to discuss. I let them know if I like the job, the challenges, and the people. If you're sincere and feel positive about the opportunity, you'll get the offer, which I did!
- Can you tell me about your journey into Engineering Sales?
