First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at YogaFit.
Yoga Instructor
It was a group yoga instructor interview with about 10 people. Each person had to teach part of a sequence. Afterward, we were taken outside to talk with the studio manager. It felt a bit like a 'pretty girls club' where they seemed to want people with a certain 'yoga' look. The interviewers were late and seemed to be looking for people who could help them market or do free social media work for the studio. Organization and information after the interview for those chosen were not great. There was no info on pay, and it was just assumed we'd show up for training for a few days without knowing compensation or if we were officially hired. It felt pretty sketchy.
- How would you promote the studio?
- What kind of following or students can you bring with you?
Master Trainer
To become a Master Trainer, you need to have a 200RYT from YF. After applying online, you'll have to answer four essay questions. Then, you'll need to assist in at least four apprenticeships under a master trainer. After all this, you'll be told if you're accepted, if you need more training before being hired, or if you haven't been accepted.
- Can you share your thoughts on diet?
- What is your perspective on yoga?
- How do you view lifestyle choices?
Yoga Teacher
I just want give the answers about yoga which will be like objective questions because it'll be take shorter time for asking more questions therefore I preferred this kind of examination.
- Tell me about yoga.
Controller
The Director of Operations was nice, but an unprofessional contractor interrupted the interview. Before that, things went well and the vibe was good.
