I went through a few stages: first, submitting my resume and cover letter. Then, there was a questionnaire, followed by a paid project. Lastly, I had a video interview with three people from the product and design teams. The recruiter was great and let me know what to expect upfront. After each part, she gave me lots of details, making the whole thing pretty clear. It was a bit weird to do a task before actually talking to anyone, but getting paid for it was a nice surprise compared to all the unpaid work tasks you sometimes have to do for interviews.

It was a 4-step interview process that included a cover letter submission, a culture-fit questionnaire, a 4-hour compensated homework assignment, and then 3 video interview rounds. The entire process took about 7 to 8 weeks from when I first applied. The hiring team was really good with communication. They clearly outlined every step and actually stuck to the timelines they gave. They responded when they said they would, interviews started on time, and the process was explained well from the beginning. It's a long process overall, but by the end, it felt like both me and the company understood each other much better. This process really emphasizes culture- and values- fit more than other interviews I've had. Make sure to be yourself and show your full personality at every stage so they can see if you're a good match!

The process started with a lengthy cover letter, about 4 pages. Then, there were more than 10 questions to answer via email. After that, came an exercise that was stated to take 4 hours, but it probably took longer for those who advanced. They did offer $30/hr for this exercise, which lessened the time waste. Finally, after all these steps, they did not provide any feedback on why I was not selected for the next round. It felt like a slap in the face after they were so hard to reach throughout the process. The salary range was also insulting, especially for a company that preaches budgeting but doesn't seem to value its employees' financial success. All these hoops for a low-paying job with a confusing product makes me think they are arrogant.
