Quality Engineer
The interview experience wasn't too intimidating, but unfortunately, they never got back to me with feedback as they had promised. The head engineer and the HR manager conducted the interview together using a shared laptop, which was a bit unusual.
- Can you tell me about a regular day in your current role?
Administrative Assistant
The process was quite challenging; it started with some tests and then moved on to exams. The HR representative I spoke with was very kind, offering help and clarifying all my doubts. Although I found it difficult, I suppose it's normal given it's a multinational company.
- Can you tell me more about yourself?
Executive Officer
First, I had to write the online CV. Then, there was a paper test about my thoughts on YKK. After that, I waited for the HR person to do a color test. Finally, I had an interview with two people. The first part was introducing myself in English, and then we discussed job duties in Cantonese. Although I applied for an Executive Officer position, they were actually looking for a Marketing Officer who could also handle pricing and product presentations.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- What are your thoughts on YKK?
- Please introduce yourself in English.
Sales Support
I applied online. They sent me an email to set up the day of interview and specific time. Also, they called me to make sure that I was aware of this interview. I had the first interview right next week of the day I got an email. I had another group interview after the first one. There were Japanese and Korean recruiters in the room. People applied for this company all spoke Japanese and Korean and I believed that I was the only one who spoke English and Korean. And people actually spoke in Japanese during the interview. There was an interpreter so that was not a really problem to me.

- How would you handle making a significant decision without your manager present?
