Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

Applied online and got a recruiter call to discuss the role and my background. They did a quick technical check to see if I was legit. Then, I had to record myself answering some behavioral questions. After that, it was a one-hour Java coding interview because they use an old codebase. This involved debugging Java code and a DSA problem. Then came a take-home assignment to build an app, followed immediately by a technical interview with an Android developer. But wait, there's more! The final round was an in-person visit. There, I repeated some previous interviews: Android coding with two junior devs (who seemed a bit rushed), technical talks on Android libraries with the Director of Engineering and a senior dev, plus questions on version control and in-depth Kotlin discussions with the CTO and VP. I even met the CEO briefly. The people were nice, and the recruiter was great. My main gripe is that if the final onsite was the deciding factor, why so many interviews beforehand? The whole thing took a month, when I think it could've been done in a week.

First, a phone interview. Then, I received a take-home assignment. Three days later, I had a second-round technical interview with the team leader. We discussed UI, performance, and recycler view, and I went over my assignment. The third round was with the CTO, covering Android lifecycle, UI, and git control. The final round was with the CEO, focusing on my experience, personality, and behavioral questions.

Behavioral Technical Coding

Applied for Junior Specialist, but they suggested Help Desk Specialist role since it matched my coding background better. I agreed and got fast-tracked. Had 3 interviews: a phone call, a one-way video interview, and a coding interview. They mentioned Java or Python for the coding part, which was supposed to be for skill level gauging and not super critical, kind of like Hackerrank or bug fixes. It ended up being nothing like Hackerrank, and I totally messed up the coding part.

Coding Technical Presentation Behavioral

I applied online and got a quick response asking me to do an assessment project. After I finished it, I heard nothing back for two weeks. They then said they wanted me to interview with the dev team, but it ended up being just one developer. This coding interview was pretty easy. Then they said they wanted me for another round with the dev team. This time, it was two and a half hours with 3 different people, all coding interviews. Two were about simple algorithms, and one was a challenge to recreate a UI from a picture quickly. About a week later, they wanted me to interview with the admin staff. I spoke with the COO on Zoom, and then the recruiter said I'd interview with the CEO soon. The CEO emailed us and said she'd reach out to schedule. I followed up a bunch to set it up, but never heard back. The whole thing felt super disorganized and poorly planned. I don't get why a company would have so many interview stages just to ghost someone at the end.
