Found the role on Indeed and thought it'd be a good way to get back into the startup scene. Sent my resume and a few days later, heard from HR to set up a call with someone from talent acquisition. We scheduled a phone interview. On the day, 5 minutes past the scheduled time, no call. I tried reaching out to the HR contact, no reply. At about 8 minutes past, the TA person called, giving a flimsy excuse about previous calls running over. This was the first sign of unprofessionalism. During the interview, we talked about the role, my background, and why I'm looking to leave my current company for Yieldify. I explained my interest in a faster pace, B2C focus, and making an impact at a smaller company. She seemed more focused on why I wanted to leave and asked if I'd applied to other internal roles, which felt irrelevant. The interview was awkward because she seemed unaware of my role and company (a Fortune 100), and had limited experience herself. She mentioned meeting the CEO in NYC or the hiring manager in Europe. I was still open to proceeding. A week passed, then the Easter holiday, followed by another week. I followed up with the TA person about next steps, as she'd suggested I'd meet someone. No response, continuing the unprofessionalism. I've been ghosted without any status update. This really highlights the issues with some young European startups targeting the US market; they focus on profit without considering talent acquisition best practices. We are professionals and deserve to be treated as such. Good luck finding quality talent. Please skip the generic response to this review.

The process started with a quick 15 minute recruiter call. Then I had to complete a SQL test, which they said was 2 hours but was shorter, and a behavior/cognitive ability test. After passing those, I had an hour and a half meeting, which felt excessive for that stage. The interview included a lot of questions about my degree experience – what I liked, disliked, and would change. This felt irrelevant for the role, especially since I graduated four years ago. Most questions focused on outdated and inapplicable experience. The process concluded with a generic rejection email.

I applied online and had an initial Skype call. Things went well and I progressed to having another interview with team members online and taking a skills test. I was invited to an on-site interview where I got to talk to multiple people and get a feel of what they needed and how their culture looked. The team's communication with me was immaculate, I was constantly kept up to date with the status of my application and all my questions were answered. They really know how to make you feel welcomed :)

had a 15-20 min phone call first, where they asked about my personality and career goals. then i moved on to the second round which was an in person interview. i met with 3 people (sales manager, outside sales, and a market supervisor) and they all asked me pretty similar questions about my background and about the company's products.
