First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yellowstone Club.
Spa Coordinator
I was really excited to apply for a spa leadership position at Yellowstone Club, given my background in luxury hospitality, wellness, and high-end beauty. I thought I'd be a great fit. However, the interview was super disappointing. The HR person started by saying, “I ask everyone the same questions, so don’t take it personally,” which felt really impersonal for a luxury brand. They barely asked me anything beyond what I knew about the job and the company, and what my hourly rate was. They weren’t interested in my experience or portfolio, and when I mentioned my makeup artistry skills, they basically said they already had someone. It felt like they weren't interested in what I could bring to the table. It was very transactional, and I realized we weren't on the same page, so I ended the interview early. It felt like they see employees as just parts of a machine rather than individuals. I'd say be cautious if you value collaboration and creativity.
- What is your hourly rate?
Hostess
The interview was virtual and had two stages, with about 7 days between them. Both were concise and pleasant. Each stage had two interviewers, who were managers of the club's different restaurants. The questions were prompts, but the interview was more of a relaxed chat about job expectations and responsibilities.

Housekeeper
Applied online and received an email within a week for an interview. The interview was in-person in Big Sky, which was a bit inconvenient to get to, and finding the office was tricky with some security issues, even with a map. I met with a manager who discussed job requirements and company values. The interview lasted about an hour and covered standard questions, with a focus on management, leadership, and interpersonal treatment. It seemed like they recorded the interview. I got an offer email that week. I had training/orientation a couple of weeks before starting.
- How would you deal with gossip between employees?
Concierge
The interview process was comprehensive, including a written test, a verbal interview, and an in-person meeting. This gave the hiring manager a good way to see how I handle phone calls, written communication, and face-to-face interactions. It's a solid method for them to gauge my skills and make sure I'm a good fit for the role.
- How can you relate your past work experience to this job opening?
