Applied online for a Route Sales Supervisor and got a call from HR late Friday. They mentioned that role was almost filled and asked if I'd consider a Route Sales Representative role. I initially declined but they insisted I hear more, so I agreed to a Monday call. On Monday, a different HR person called to interview me for the Route Sales Supervisor position, which I was told was basically filled. After some questions, they said the Zone Manager would contact me. On Wednesday, a Route Sales Supervisor reached out to schedule an interview for an Area Manager role. I drove 2 hours for the interview, which I felt went well. They mentioned the next step was a ride-along with a Route Sales Representative, which seemed odd, and that I should call the Zone Manager on Monday after thinking it over. When I called the Zone Manager Monday morning, he was confused, thinking I was interviewing for the Route Sales Representative role. He informed me I'd need to complete 4 more interviews before an offer. It seemed like everyone I spoke with thought I was interviewing for a different position. The whole process was extremely disorganized, so I told the Manager to forget it.

Behavioral Technical Other

I went through a few interviews and it seemed okay. I did an unpaid shadow day that went well and the person I shadowed seemed to like me. They strung me along for almost two months and I thought it would work out, but then they decided against splitting routes, I think because the manager who was going to hire me got fired. I had another set of interviews for a different job months later and they also played games with me. I got to the second interview and the interviewer was really arrogant and awful. He acted like I should know everything about the company before I even started working there, which was weird. Later, I found out the place I would have worked is now closed.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty laid-back and straightforward. The interviewers aimed to keep things simple while still getting the info they needed. My advice is to not overthink it and just focus on understanding your own sales strengths. Good luck!

It was a long process, but it felt like the right way to find qualified employees. They are definitely looking for people who want to stay for a while and aren't just looking for any job.
