Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at YCharts.
Sales Development Representative
I had a phone interview with Nick Kocinski, the CFO, for about 30 minutes. He asked mostly about the job specifics and how I felt about cold calling. Then, I had a second phone interview with Dave Lubnik, the sales director. This one was shorter, about 20 minutes, and focused on my past experience in finance and sales as it relates to the role.
- What is your daily capacity for making cold calls?
Sales Development Representative
It was alright overall. First, a quick phone screen, then a call where I had to actually sell YCharts. The last part was a 4-hour interview at the office. Apparently, if you make it to the final round, you get the job.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me about your past internship experiences?
- Please describe something for me in under a minute.
Sales Development Representative
We had two interviews back to back, both 30 minutes long. The first one was a standard interview where they asked questions and I learned about the company, plus I got to ask my questions. The second interview was a mock phone call where I had to pretend to sell something and close the deal.
- What makes you interested in FinTech?
