Flight Instructor
The interview process was as follows: Technical Interview, Simulator, Flight Test, and finally, Presentation & Personality Interview. The interviewers were really nice. They really emphasized the oral test and your ability to teach during the simulator session. For the flight test, you just need to show you can safely instruct a student. For the presentation and personality interview, you just need to turn in the presentation you prepared. They're not looking for a formal slide delivery, but more about explaining your reasoning — they'll ask why you set up the presentation that way.
- What would you do if you found out a coworker flew a plane after drinking alcohol?
- How would you handle a situation where students are consistently late for flight training or don't show up?
Adult Education Instructor
The interview process was straightforward and pleasant. It was conducted over the phone with the hiring manager, who was a very nice person. I don't have much more to say about this organization because I'm not currently employed there, and I'm only leaving this review because it's required.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
IT Department
It was a 3 step process, felt fair. Good questions were asked by different staff members and the Department Lead. They gave thoughtful responses. The first interview was more formal, and the last one was more informal. Overall, it was a good interview process and vetting.
- Questions ranged from technical to general topics.
Office Coordinator
The hiring is done by a committee, which makes it tricky to understand how they're reacting. The person who will actually be supervising you isn't allowed to be part of the committee. Some committee members might not be super familiar with the department you'd be working in. Honestly, I'm not a fan of this approach.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
