Sales
Overall good. Management seemed nice. HR reasonable. Good questions. Straight forward process. I would have liked to see a greater range of interview questions but they were overall quite straight forward so I understand the rationale
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
Manual Machinist
I met with the shop supervisor at the job site. He asked me about my experience while looking over my resume. I don't have experience with CNC equipment, which is a plus for this job since it's all manual machining.
- Can you elaborate on your previous experience and the types of machines you are proficient in operating?
- What kind of machines have you operated in the past?
- Tell me about your experience running different types of machines.
Associate
Had 3-4 interviews before getting a job offer. These interviews felt like a waste of time, as they could have been condensed into 1-2. The process wasn't really about assessing qualifications, more about confirming you aren't a convict and have basic reading/writing skills. Once hired, it's a gamble on which department and shift you'll end up in, so don't fully trust promises made during the interview.
- What was most unexpected was what I wasn't asked about my resume and application.
- They didn't seem to care of my qualifications as long as I met theirs.
Administrative Assistant
I am currently attending a trade school. The interview took place at a career center close to my school. I thought I was just going to get some information for my teacher, but it ended up being an unexpected interview. I met with the interviewer, and after we sat down, they started asking questions right away. Afterwards, they mentioned they would pass my resume along to the next person.
- What is your self-assessment as a worker, and how do you think an average person like Joe Schmoe would describe themselves?
- What are your thoughts on doing repetitive tasks?
- What's your attitude towards change?
