Behavioral Presentation

I had a panel interview with several functional leaders, and it was pretty structured but also allowed for open discussion. The company President was really engaging and had a positive outlook. I was a bit put off because the role wasn't quite what was described. I traveled a long way for what I thought was a global role that matched my skills and salary needs, but when I spoke with the HR person, she seemed surprised by my salary expectations and said it was just a local position. While I enjoyed meeting everyone, I wouldn't have made the trip if I'd known it wasn't what I was looking for.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by a 2-hour in-person interview. I met with HR, the Department Manager, and two employees from the department. The employees' opinions seemed to hold more weight than the manager's. I think one of the employees felt intimidated by my computer program experience and my overall years of experience. He asked about my stride length, which I'd never been asked before and wasn't sure how it related to the job. I felt it was unprofessional for an employee to have the final say on hiring instead of the manager.

Submitted application online. Had a quick phone chat. Then a video interview 3 days later. Waited 3 weeks. Had an onsite interview after two cancellations without explanation. Waited 3 more weeks. Completed reasoning and personality tests with an external firm. Waited another 3 weeks. Had to follow up to learn they hired internally. Note: travel expenses aren't reimbursed as they are only for employees. Good luck!
