First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yango Group.
Specialist
The interview process felt overly long and bureaucratic, almost like micromanagement. One interviewer didn't even state her role and asked a lot of strange questions in an unprofessional manner. After that, I decided against working for Yango, and checking LinkedIn later to see who they hired confirmed my decision about their culture.
- But why are you involved in so many activities?
Customer Success Manager
The interviewer was very nice from the beginning. The interview started with him telling me about the role and what they are expecting from the workers. After that, I told him a bit about myself. A couple of questions about my experience and my customer service orientation. They gave me a case and response scenarios.
- Can you describe the role and your expectations for employees?
- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
- What is your experience like?
Pre Sales Engineer
The interview process was really dynamic and interesting. I had two meetings with the company's leadership team, one in Portuguese and one in English. These were valuable because they showed me the company's multicultural vibe and how open they are to different languages. Both talks went well, and I got a good understanding of the company's challenges, culture, and what they're looking for in this role. But after those meetings, things just went quiet. I never got any follow-up or feedback, or any official word on whether I got the job or not. I know these things can change, but it would've been good to get some kind of closure or feedback, especially after multiple stages. It helps candidates improve, stay interested, and remember the company positively.
- Can you share an experience where you had to handle a challenging stakeholder or client, and explain how you approached it?
Operations Head
The hiring process has 3 stages: first, the hiring manager assesses role and culture fit. Second, a group team lead evaluates your capability to perform the role. Finally, the Country CEO determines if you can execute the role within the local context. It's a pretty standard hiring process.
- Can you explain your interest in Yango?
- In a scenario with insufficient cars for customer demand, what actions would you take?
