It was a 4 step process. First, an HR call. Then, a platform test. Next, an algorithms test. Then, a system design discussion. Lastly, different questions with code, where I had to write some code or fix code. Then there were 1-2 tasks of different complexity. The last part was discussing system design, requirements, and drawing diagrams.

The interview process was quite tedious and long, with many different sections. I liked that I got to meet most of the team before joining. The interviews were long enough for small talk, which helped me figure out if the team was a good fit. Most sections challenged my engineering skills. I had one platform interview that was like a screening, focusing on Swift and platform-agnostic skills. Another platform interview was about the iOS platform and its tools for displaying content. Towards the end of that, they asked about other Apple SDKs to gauge expertise diversity, though these were optional. There was also an algorithms and data structures interview that was fairly easy with mostly simple problems. An architectural section, like a system design interview for mobile, wasn't too complex but required knowledge of common software design terms. Finally, a 'meet the team' interview with the team lead was my last chance to decline.

HR gave me a ring and we chatted about the interview process. First up was a take-home assignment where I had to build an iOS app using the Yandex.Translator API. The app needed to translate text between Russian and English, auto-detect the language, and also take voice input. After I submitted that, I got an invite for a Skype interview, but unfortunately, I didn't make it past that round.
